Description
My grandfather opened a Standard Oil gas station in the 1920s on the west side of Chicago. It was on Ogden Avenue near the start of Route 66. I may not have gasoline coursing through my veins, but it is in my DNA. The station was sold in the 1960s and has gone through several changes over the decades as the picture proves. So this is a book for car guys…for the gas jockeys, mechanics, racing fans, drivers, restorers, collectors and hobbyists who embrace the car culture. It’s time to make a kitchen pit stop and fuel up.
This is the second edition of Flannel John’s Car Guy Cookbook. It features new recipes and the classic favorites.
